Elbit Systems of Australia appoints AVM (ret’d) Kym Osley AM CSC to board

Elbit Systems of Australia (ELSA) announces new non-executive board member Air Vice-Marshal (ret’d) Kym Osley AM CSC.

Last year, ELSA announced a reorganisation of the Australian business after the successful completion of the transformation that has strengthened its governance, engineering, IT infrastructure and security.

Executive Chair Dr Karen Stanton said she was pleased to announce the new appointment to the ELSA board.

“Kym is a valuable addition to ELSA’s board due to more than three decades’ service in senior positions in the RAAF and his valuable experience in the private sector following his ADF career,” Dr Stanton said.

“Kym is highly regarded for his work throughout the government, the private sector and defence industry, which will inject the ELSA board with the right mix of skills and experience to provide guidance and oversight as we focus on growing the Australian business.

“The transformation and reorganisation of the Australian business enables us to access a wider cross-section of Elbit’s product portfolio, placing us in a better position to meet the challenges and opportunities of future programs within the defence industry.”

Mr Osley’s other board appointments include; non-executive director of Quickstep Technologies (ASX:QHL), Member of LEOLabs Australia Strategic Advisory Board, Chair of Australian Air Force Cadet Foundation and non-executive director of PWR Technologies (ASX:PWR).

Mr Osley will work with the other board members, Executive Chair Dr Karen Stanton, Major General (ret’d) Roger Powell AM, Haim Delmar and Yossi Gaspar.

ELSA is in the process of selecting a Chief Executive Officer following the departure of former Managing Director Paul McLachlan AO CSC in December 2022.
