Rear Admiral (ret’d) Jaimie Hatcher AO DSC joins ELSA board

Elbit Systems of Australia (ELSA) appoints Rear Admiral (ret’d) Jaimie Hatcher AO DSC to its board as a non-executive director.

Last year, ELSA successfully completed the transformation that has strengthened its governance, engineering, IT infrastructure and security posture.

ELSA’s Executive Chair Dr Karen Stanton said she was very pleased to announce the second of two new board appointments of a very experienced retired ADF officer.  RADM (ret’d) Hatcher’s appointment has helped to strengthen the strategic leadership of the company and contribute towards its market diversity in Australia.

“Jaimie is a great addition to ELSA’s board.  He enjoys great respect after three decades’ service culminating in senior positions in the Royal Australian Navy” Dr Stanton said.

“Jaimie is highly regarded for his work, having held numerous senior executive positions in military, government, diplomatic and commercial environments, including various board positions and direct command responsibilities in operational military environments at various levels – skills that will bolster our board’s expertise.”

“The transformation of the Australian business – in addition to board diversification – enables access to a wider cross-section of Elbit’s product portfolio, placing us in a better position to meet the challenges and opportunities of future programs within the defence industry across the ADF’s three Services and the new Cyber and Space domains”, Dr Stanton said.

RADM (ret’d) Hatcher will work with the other board members, Executive Chair Dr Karen Stanton, MAJGEN (ret’d) Roger Powell AM, AVM (ret’d) Kym Osley AM CSC, Boaz Cohen, Haim Delmar and Yossi Gaspar, building a strong emphasis on the transfer of new technologies into Australian sovereign capabilities.
